Ending Obamacare

As a healthcare professional, working to turn around struggling hospitals, and to keep hospitals open to care for patients, I’ve seen first hand the devastating effects of Obamacare. Americans didn’t want this law, but a liberal congress and a liberal president rammed it down our throats anyway. Now, as a result, premiums are rising, by as much as 29.5 percent in Louisiana, according to The Advocate, and out-of-pocket costs are forcing parents to make a choice between purchasing health insurance and paying for their kid’s college. That’s a choice no parent should have to make. And these costs are the result of government intrusion. Companies have to pay to ensure compliance with new government mandates, and that unfortunately means patients have to pay more. It’s time to end Obamacare and replace it with a common-sense, market-based approach to healthcare that’s better for patients – not politicians.
